I bought my kit on Jan 28,2006 and received it on February 11, 2006. I bought the kit from another guy who had never opened the crates. It's an S6S tricycle gear, standard wing, and engine install kit for a 912S. I decided on the S6 after researching sport pilot kits as I am having trouble keeping my special issuance medical. The S6 has a great reputation, good looks and Rans has a superb reputation. This will be my fifth kit, scratch or rebuild project and I can't wait! It may move slowly at first as I have a couple of projects, room addition and finishing this building.

The first problem was I am banned from working on it in the basement and although I have a hanger at Sparta Upper Cumberland Regional airport, it contains my Archer II, so time to build a building. I happen to have a set of trusses left over from another project that were made at the incorrect pitch for that project. I used them to build a 16 by 24 building in my back yard. I plan on building the kit there and moving it to the airport for assembly.

I inventoried the kit on 2/18/06, built some simple shelves with the crates, and hung the alum parts on the walls which I had finished with pegboard.

Kit inventoried and stored. 2-27-06
