 Mounted tires on rims

 Mounted axles to gear legs

2/23/06

 Set toe in and drilled fuselage gear sockets. Began installation of floor board and rudder pedal assembly.

2/26/06

 Installed rudder pedals. Installed master cylinder and wear plate.

3/5/06

 Riveted and installed remaining 2 rudder pedals. Two right and two left parts had been left out of the kit and I had to order them. I got them Friday; four dollars and some change each from Rans. Installed nose gear disconnect and shimmy damper. Found tube spacer to be too long - unsure of proper length need to think about this, nothing in manual. Temporarily installed firewall and installed and riveted contour formers.  6.25 hrs

     

3/6/06

 Began test fitting tail boom section longerons and tubes. Pulled parts needed for assembly of boom.

.75 hrs

3/7/06

 Riveted outer gussets to center locator hole on longerons. Siliconed stub at steel cage and slid longerons on. Began initial assembly of support tubes.

2.0 hrs

3/8/06

 More work on tail boom. Installed sta 6 gusset and tail gusset.

2.0 hrs

3/9/06

 More riveting on tail boom. Double and triple checking angles and dimensions.  Laid out side stringers for the next project.

3/12/06

 More  riveting on tail boom.. Installed x brace cables at stations 4 and 5.

3/14/06

 Assembled control sticks and installed. Assembled aileron control tee and installed
